Trioffroad.com was founded to provide an independent online source of racing information about the exciting world of off-road triathlon. By providing a forum for the complete North American racing calendar we also aim to help race promoters coordinate their plans with each other, fostering constructive competition and ensuring the best opportunity for athletes to fill their race calendar with quality events.

History

Karl Etzel founded Trioffroad™.com in 2005 to address the needs of serious (and not so serious) off-road triathletes. Recognizing that racing is often a significant expense in both time and money, and that new races are poppoing up on the calendar all the time, he built the site into a consumer review page for athletes trying to make informed decisions about which races to attend. Karl has a background in engineering and was a marketing manager in the Silicon Valley tech industry prior to founding Trioffroad™.com and Ride424™.com.
